What side effects could I experience with LUTATHERA?

LUTATHERA may cause side effects. Some of these side effects can be serious, and your care team may need to adjust or stop your treatment if you experience any of these. You should always follow your care team’s instructions.

In clinical trials, the most common and most serious side effects in people taking LUTATHERA included:

  • Vomiting
  • Nausea
  • Decreased blood cell counts
  • Increased liver enzymes
  • Decreased blood potassium levels
  • Increased glucose in the bloodstream

LUTATHERA® (lutetium Lu 177 dotatate) is a prescription medicine used to treat adults with a type of cancer known as gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs) that are positive for the hormone receptor somatostatin, including GEP-NETs in the foregut, midgut, and hindgut.
